Four days, five women writing, making, cooking, feasting, being in each others company. Artist Carol Laidler, Dr Sue Porter, Dr Ann Rippin, Professor Emeritus Jane Speedy, and myself met and worked together in the glorious space of Sue and Glenn’s house.
We wrote and wrote into each others words and explored mono printing and collage.
An incredible intensity and focus is created by us writing and making together, though I find the editing process difficult. How to let go of disappointment and ego as one’s words disappear from the final text and hold on to the knowledge that one’s energy and personality inform the flavour and cadence of the words?
