I get why Iain wanted me to read this. It frames personal experience in a particular academic way so the personal and anecdotal is kept brief and succinct and then around that is the experience is positioned historically, culturally, evidence that research has been done, others consulted and that knowledge gained reframed to give a multiple perspective.
